About

I am Marissa, AKA Victoria Liberty. Welcome to my blog!
About Me
I am a young adult/big kid who lives in the Boston area. I work full time in an office, but in my free time, my interests include reading, writing, making websites (duh!), drawing, photography, music, history, useless trivia, philosophy, politics, law, crimes and trials, horse racing, figure skating, the Red Sox, public transportation, watching the news, and collecting things, including dolls, paper dolls, Beanie Babies, toy soldiers, Breyer horses, stamps, and coins.
My favorite thing in the whole world, and my favorite subject to blog about, is liberty. My beliefs don’t exactly match any political party, but I believe that people have the right to live their lives however they want, as long as it does not violate the rights of anyone else. I am opposed to excessive taxation, gun control, the Durham-Humphrey Amendment, unreasonable searches, paternalism in all its forms, and anything else that takes people’s freedom away.
About the Blog
The Freedom Bulletin contains my opinions on news from Massachusetts, the USA, and the world, and includes a variety of topics including politics, trials, culture, and occasionally sports and entertainment. You’ll find a little bit of everything.
I created this blog because I love to write and have strong, often unpopular views, which I believe deserve to be shared. I am a shy person in real life, but the Internet allows me to express my beliefs to the world.
Another reason I created this blog is because when I have the time, one of my favorite hobbies is watching and writing about trials. I have attended and blogged about the trials of Alexander Pring-Wilson, Neil Entwistle, and Clark Rockefeller, to name a few.
I hope you enjoy the blog!
History
This blog used to be hosted at Blogspot, and it used to be called the Imperial Bulletin (to match the name of my history site, Imperial Kingdom). I switched to WordPress because I wanted to have more control over the look and organization, and I decided to change the name in order to give my blog its own identity. Whether I am blogging about trials, politics, or culture, I am passionate about freedom, and almost everything I write about is connected to freedom in some way.
I created the current layout using flag photos that I took myself.
