“FOX Business Network Adds Encore Presentations of Marquee Business Programming”

….So reads the headline of this press release. That might sound fancy and cool, but what it means is that Fox is getting rid of Freedom Watch with Judge Napolitano and replacing it with repeats of shows that aired earlier in the day. That’s right; they are getting rid of one of the most (perhapsĀ the most) intelligent, consistent, brave, and all around awesome pro-liberty voices on TV in order to make room for…repeats.

As a big fan of Judge Nap, this is extremely disappointing to me, but more importantly, this is a loss for everyone who values diversity of ideas. Fox News, as everyone knows, has a lot of conservative commentators, MSNBC has no shortage of left-wing ones, and CNN has some of both. But truly pro-freedom views are hard to find on any channel, especially an entire show dedicated to the topic of liberty.

According to the press release, Judge Napolitano will “continue his role on both FOX Business and FOX News, providing key legal insights surrounding the growing intersection between Washington and Wall Street.” Although I’m glad he won’t be completely gone, he deserves his own show.

I don’t know why Fox decided to do this – certainly not because of ratings. There is always a chance they could change their minds. If you support Judge Napolitano and Freedom Watch, please help convince them to do that by sharing your outrage. Lew Rockwell has the details.

Update: Also, I highly encourage you to sign this petition to save Freedom Watch!
